Talking Business.

Here at Mavericks we know that parents have the most difficult choice when placing their child in a child care facility. Our goal is to make that decision a little (well actually a lot) easier. Mavericks is a business, yes, but at the heart it has a family ethos that we like to think would mirror your own. Jessica Smith is the founding member of Mavericks Day camps, she has worked with children since the age of 14 where she started working at a fabulous dance company called Footsteps Performing Arts.It was here that Jessica realised her passion for teaching. 

 

A few years down the line... 

 

I became a qualified Early Years professional, and a qualified primary school teacher. I very much enjoyed teaching for 3 years but realised ultimately that my experience working for different children's camps in the UK and abroad and that the fun, energetic atmosphere that a children's camp upholds is where my heart lies. I have had experience with all sorts of childcare settings and believe that this is what enables Mavericks to stand out from the rest. The experience I gained is invaluable, one of the most important things that I have learnt is that staffing is key. A happy staff means a happy customer.  Therefore Mavericks Day Camps has a specific hiring process which enables us to hire the most experienced and caring staff.

Our goal at Mavericks is to become the UK's leading children's activity camps.
